For each coarse-grained time series, we create a PoincarГ© plot, which is then assembled into the final montage. This multiscale implementation is accomplished via a simple coarse-graining procedure that produces multiple rescaled вЂњcopiesвЂќ of the original signal. Classical PoincarГ© maps are single-scale, since they graph the value of one data point of the original time series against the next. To this end, we adapted and extended the methodology of delay (PoincarГ©) maps.
